Old Man’s Beard Must Go!

It’s the Motueka Catchment Collective’s BIG April Old Man’s Beard weeding event!

Come and join the BIG Motueka Valley Community Weeding Bee to clear Old Man’s Beard from natives near Haycocks Bush. This iconic site is next to the Motueka Awa, and they’d love your help!

MCC are continuing their fight against Old Mans’ Beard, which is taking over the Motueka Valley! Please come and join their amazing community volunteers – who’ll be grabbing their secateurs and weedkiller to continue the hard mahi. All tools and a picnic lunch are provided.

Where: 2094 Motueka River West Bank Road

When: Sunday 13th April, 9.30am – 1pm

Local experts will be onsite with weed killing info and training for Old Mans Beard and other plant pests. And there will be pest trapping info, including updates on baits, trapping tips and how to use TrapNZ.
